Sorry. It's a stupid problem. I've been dealing with it for months so it all makes sense to me. Yes I put it in neutral and watch it idle. Like when I get off the highway. In neutral at 65 mph it's at 2300 rpms all the way until I hit 17 mph. Then it drops to 1100rpms. It never goes below 1100 either. I haven't got a mopar iac yet. I'm not rich.

Well, maybe I should try this too....to coast in neutral from 65 to 17 mph (challenging since I have km/hr) and see what my rpm's do....never needed to know, maybe its all within spec haha.
Sorry, if it otherwise runs fine and normal and no surging at idle or something...I would focus on other issues first thb...

Today I called every auto store besides the dealership and no one has mopar iac or TPS. So I bought the cheapest iac they had. A standard brand iac. I put it in the jeep and it did nothing. Completely the same result as before. And I had a crown brand iac before. So I'm thinking it isn't the iac.
And I've been putting it neural off the highway because it's really hard on my brakes to slow the car down while it is throttling at 2300 rpms

So, next thing to check is the TPS.
And clean your throttle body and valve thorougly.
What year are we actually talking about? Testing procedures might be different, and if Renix, you could try adjusting the TPS...

Reset your kickdown cable. Mine did the same thing. Adjusted it and the problem went away
My jeep is a 2000. I don't know how to test the TPS. Besides testing the voltage to it, but still don't know the numbers.

For testing the TPS, do a search, it comes along in every so many threads

Did this issue just start outa the blue or did you just buy it and this issue was free ? Have you had it scanned for codes even if lights not on you can have a soft code stored in ecm.

Also I can't find any info on testing my iac voltage or testing the TPS. For a 2000 xj. I can find it for an 89 and a 93. But I'm certain my vehicle is different.
That free quick fix thread has no pictures. Nor do I think it has anything to do with me problem. The car shifts fine up hill down hill up shift down shift whatever. Why would that cause idle problems anyway
