Hi. New here. I've had a fuel problem for awhile now. Replaced the fuel pump a while back and apparently the gasket on the top of the fuel pump got pinched and fuel vapors could be smelled inside whenever the tank was filled more than half. As long as it was below half tank it was ok.
So finally got it fixed, and drove it for about 10 miles on an 1/8th of a tank, it ran fine no problems. Took it the next day and got a full tank of gas and didn't make it out of the driveway of the gas station before it started to sputter and lose power. It died in their driveway. Seemed like it was starving for fuel and it was also making a strange pop sound in the engine and the smell of gas was awful, outside the car. Thinking that maybe the fuel line might be clogged I kept starting it but it would run for a second or two and die. This went on for about a half hour till it finally stayed running at normal RPM. Barely made it home as it had no power and kept making the strange pop sound. I was able to coax it home. It started again a couple of times and now it cranks but won't start. Any ideas?
