Fuel gauge?
Any ideas on what might cause a fuel gauge to show empty even if there is gas in the tank? My 91 Cherokee hasn't been started in a couple of months, and I started it up today to drive it around a bit and get it ready for winter. Last time, I had a half tank of gas...this time, the needle bottomed out and the low gas light popped on the second I started it up, saying that it's empty. So either the gauge is having issues, or someone siphoned my gas.

there is a recall for the fuel sending unit. i got a paper from the inspection station when i took my jeep to get an Inspection sticker saying the sending unit may display an inaccurate fuel level.
