I have my 1989 jeep comanche all fixed up now! But there is one problem anoying the hell out of me and thats the fuel gage! It just isnt reading at all on the dashboard. It has to be a floater cause of its year. But what should i do to fix this?

Replace the sending unit and float.

I have a 92 that went out and the stealership wanted 180 bucks for just the gauge cuz they don't make them anymore. I went to the junkyard and pulled one out but the lines are reversed so the gauge reads backwards...you could try and do the same! just try and find something close to your jeep year. It cost me 5 bucks for the gauge.

www.rockauto.com will have the sender, and it's located in the fuel tank. You don't have to drop the tank on an 88, just make sure the tank is close to empty. Do a search for the proceedure on this site or on google.
