Fuel - Electical Issue 4.0 XJ
Hi all,
I have an engine issue on my year 2000 4.0 XJ. It will start and idle around 850 RPM but when I rev the engine it just dies. I have no idea where to start looking at this, plugs seem fine. I'd welcome any advice.

Possibly a defective Throttle Position Sensor, but a check of your fuel pressure would be in order. Should be 49.2 psi +/- .5 psi.

many thanks read up about this on some other posts and symptoms are exactly like a TPS issue. New one ordered $25 so I'll let you know the outcome and will check fuel pressure at the weekend.
