....I never had a problem opening mine, just remember occam's razor: the simplest solution is usually right; I.E. the simplest way to open it would be to just open it. I've always been able to grab it by back edge of the door and just pull it out. I do like how it doesn't have any sort of lip or grab point on it, it makes it harder for someone else to f**k around with your gas tank.

I had an Audi, and for those you have to press unlock, then the door just opens with a simple push on the side. i always had my doors locked so it took me a while to figure that out.
