I have an 86 Cherokee, 4 cylinder, 2.5 liter, fuel injection, manual transmission with 141,000 miles on it. I've recently encountered a problem with the fuel delivery system and I'm getting mixed reports on isolating the problem.

Symptoms: It will hesitate intermittently when I am giving it gas. When I slow down and put in the clutch it will hesitate, shake, and sometimes stall out entirely. The stalling seems to be most likely within the first few minutes of starting, and after stalling it always starts right back up. The problem also seems to be worse when it rains.

I've recently replaced the Idle Speed Actuator Motor, the Throttle Position Sensor, the fuel filter, spark plugs were done 5 months ago.

My plan is to inspect the condition of the spark plugs, replace the rotor and distributor cap, but I was was hoping to appeal to the wisdom of the forum as to isolating the problem. Thanks!
