front wiper washer pump not getting power

front wiper washer pump not getting power
I have a 92 sport. when I turn the switch to wash the windshield the wipers come on but no water sprays out. I checked and the lines are clear. the rear works fine. I thought it was a bad pump and went out and bought a new one and wasted $30. front and rear are supposed to be on the same fuse so that can't be the problem. I'm just not getting power to the pump. for now I've just switched the hoses from the pumps so I have to press rear wash to get front wash.
any help?
