Default Front Upper Shock Bushings

Well I fried my upper shock bushings in the front offroading a few weeks ago, and i am tired of listening to them clunking about when unloading. Thus begins my quest to replace them....and the problem.

Does anyone know what size the bushings are? I know the holes are 3/8", but beyond that i have no flippin idea. I'm looking at the energy suspension poly bushings, but they have at least 4 different sets that are 3/8" center hole bushings, all slightly different.

I need either the outside diameter and thickness i need, or a link to the ones i need.

Also anyone have a good method of swapping these with everything else bolted up still?

The ones I put on the 90 XJ I had with Rancho shocks were #9.8101G.

Once you remove the tire and the nut at the top of the shock you should be able to pull down on the shock shaft enough to remove the old bushing half and slip the new bushing onto the post. Just make sure the bushing nipple is centered in the hole before you tighten the nut or it will rattle.

i had posted on JeepForum also and a guy responded with the exact measurements since he had some sitting behind him. Lucky me.

1/2" thick, 1-3/8 OD, 3/8 ID for the stud, the raised area (fits into the hole in the body) is 3/32 tall, and has a diameter of 27/32".
And yes that corresponds most closely to the 9.8101 kit, which i ordered yesterday.
Thanks AMXJ
