Hey everyone. I recently found a pair of infinity tweeters to install in my 2000 xj.
Well I installed the drivers side today without a problem and the tweeter and the speaker sound fine.
I went to do the passenger side and relized after installing the right tweeter that it wasn't working nor was the regular speaker. I thought I had my setting on all the way left but it wasn't. Fixed my settings to all right side and I only have sound coming from the rear right speaker. While I had the passenger regular speaker out I played with the wires and every few turns I made on the speaker the sound in the rear would go out.
Could this be a short in the passenger door???. I'm familiar with the shorts in the drivers door speaker and such.
Any help would be great. Mike

But if it was just the main speaker why would the tweeter be out. Does the tweeters power only work if the other speak is on? Just curious because I also have nothing coming from the tweeter
well, component speakers are a little outta my range of knowledge, but if the tweeter is wired thru the speaker, than i suppose yes. if not, then id go back to wiring isue. dunno man..
