Both of mine are gone. I chunked the rear as soon as I brought my rig home. The front I took off recently because I lifted it and didn't have longer end links to hook it back up. When I was on 30x9.5 tires it was very sway-ey. With the 33x12.50's, I honestly can't tell the difference. I drive mine 50 miles every day and 300 miles every other weekend.
But in the name of safety, it's probably best to leave the front on. I've been driving Jeeps for a while and since I've lifted it and gone to bigger tires, I drive it more like a Jeep and less like a racecar.
Every rig is different. Do what makes you feel safe and you are comfortable with. Don't cave to someone telling you you are a pansy if you won't drive without one, if you don't feel comfortable doing it. That is why they make quick disco's.

Mine were both gone when i bought it, and its always been a bit wobbly but i just chalked it up to the 3" lift and the whole "it's a jeep thing". Only recently did i realize it had no sway bars, and ive driven it for about a full year and a half now.
Iv'e taken corners hard enough to make the tires squeal and been in no danger of flipping, so i would chalk the whole " OMG the dangers of no sway bars!" thing up to careless driving. I mean your driving a jeep not a racecar what do you expect is gonna happen when you take a corner too fast.

My mother always told me to stay out of those bars. My fronts in, my rears out. 3.5 lift and 31's all round. Note I did screw the inner sidewall of a set of tires with the rear sway bar before removing it, that's learning the hard way
When lifting check thoroughly for interference once your back on the ground, thoroughly! I run up to 80 mph, all types of terrain and roads, no handling issues from the sway bar situation.

My 99 is lifted 4.5 inches with 33's i have both sway bars in at the moment but the front have quick discos. Sometimes i run with them off but i put them on if i'm on the highway. The only reason the back one is even still on is cause it prevents my back tires from rubbing when i flex it out but as soon as i get a bigger lift the rear is coming off for sure. My 94 i removed the rear sway bar when i put a 3 inch lift and 31's on it cause i blocked it and the tires rubbed. It's wobbly as hell but it doesn't bother me any. Hopefully once i get the money for a real lift on it that wobble problem will get better, but if it doesn't i don't really carem it's all personal prefference.
