Default Front pumpkin noise

Ok the heep is making noise...again, what a surprise right? so while driving i head a squeeking yada yada. heard it coming from the from pumpkin on a dana 30. I know this for sure cause i was screwing with the brakes and turned the components, heard it and tracked it down. changed the diff fluid and nothing changed. So any ideas as to what it could be, how serious and how expensive/long to fix if i can do it myself. I'm leaving for college in a week and half and want to make sure everything is ok before leaving. thanks for the help

You dont think it is internal? Think itll survive 6 hours on the high way? on a side note, that might explain the 1/8 inch of play in the slip yoke in the middle of the front drive shaft

When you changed the oil did you look at the gears? If you have play in the driveshaft could be a u-joint if it's in the front could be bearings going out. If the bearing get bad enough it could lock up the front while you're driving. Pull the driveshaft and check the play in the gears, shouldn't be hardly any side to side and back and forth on the yoke.
