front pinion seal d30

Default front pinion seal d30

anyone have a pic of both sides of this seal, the one side looks like a regular seal while the other side of the seal is shaped like a small funnel,, its for a 97 xj,, just wanna make sure i have the right one here, i cant find any pix of the funnel looking side

the outer seal (the one thats prolly leaking) looks something like this

Make sure your axle vent tube isnt clogged up before changing the seal. If the vent is clogged it will create pressure inside the diff and leak from the pinion seal or the axle seals.

Sounds like the parts store may have sold you the oil seal for inside the front differential.
