front end bushings

Get a set of Moog replacement bushings (Upper and Lower)
Poly Bushings limit flex and are notorious for putting undo amounts of stress on the thin control arm mounts. Not a good idea for a Colorado based rig.
Poly bushings are great for the swaybar, a little extra stiffness there is a good thing.

I agree. You'll want rubber bushings.
You can order up a set of complete WJ lower control arms with bushings that will cost less than 4 new OEM bushings.
Better bushings, better arms, less work.

I hope you have better luck with poly sway bar bushings than I did. They were super noisy and it drove me crazy. I greased them often, sprayed them with various lubricants, etc., and nothing worked for very long. I hated them. I replaced them with rubber and haven't had the first squeak or anything in over a year.

Thanks so much for the input and I will look into the control arms with bushings instead of just bushings and hopefully the poly sway bar bushings don't drive me too crazy
I did find some moog poly's at O'reillys and was going to pick them up today. I was was going to replace the trac bar bushing with a moog. I do have the luke's link on the other end of the trac bar. Will I need to get an alignment after replacing the control arms(or bushings)? I don't believe i should need one after the sway bar and trac bar bushings but I could be mistaken.

I've been reading some more and is it okay to just replace the lower control arm bushings or should the lowers and uppers both be done at the same time?

So, I replaced the sway bsar bushings with polys and replaced the trac bar bushings as well with a poly. I also did order the complete set of control arms and jsut finished installing them. Took it for a test drive and the death wobble is way worse than before. I crawled back under it to make sure I had everything tight and all appears to be good. The sway bar link bushings are also shot but could that be the big problem and why wold it get worse than it was before?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the responses. So I checked the ball joints and they are tight and so are the tre's. I do have a Luke's Link on the other end of trac bar and it is tight too. The tires have perfectly normal wear/(even wear) but I have not had them balanced. I don't see how that could be the case since it did not do the death wobble before the work i've done. It just had a little vibration when hitting a bump and thought I'd fix it before the death wobble occurred. I also checked for a wobbled out bolt hole on the trac bar and it seemed good but I did put a bigger bolt in it since the new bushing had a larger inside diameter hole through it. Ihave not checked the toe in yet either, will do that in the morning. the new control arms were the same length but seemed squeezed together where the bushings were not pressed in correctly. Also I had to put a sleeve over the bolt in the lower rear arm for the bolt to fit snug. Thanks again, Luke. Will keep everyone informed as to what I find out.
