Front drive shaft slip joint

Front drive shaft slip joint
Hello im new me and my wife both have 1998 xj's the front shaft is out of mine when I purchased two days ago. I put it in and it vibrates badly. I checked the u-joints and the cardan they are both good I have some play in the slip joint of the shaft my wife's doesent. Is their any way to rebuild that slip joint on my own or am I gonna have to buy one?
