Default Front Bumper Air Bottle??

Hello All,

My XJ was stolen last year and involved in an accident. Smashed up my bumper a bit. I replaced the broken and bad parts all but one. It looks like an vacuum/air bottle and is mounted inside the front bumper on the passenger side. I threw it away cause it was broken and cracked. What the heck is it? Can I do without it? Right now the car runs great but I always here an air leak on that side. Should I replace it or delete it? Help.

Steve

Default Vacuum Ball Canister

So I did a lil research, turns out I might need it for AC or Vents. Looks like I'll go to the junkyard and pick one out this weekend. I don't have 4x4 or cruise control but I guess if controls something. LOL!!

Yeah, that's the vacuum storage bottle. Most relocate it to the engine bay for safety.

Anything that uses vacuum should be effected.
