i was just measuring the flare clearance for a set of wheel spacers when i noticed the front wheels seem to stick out further than the rear. the tires and wheels are all the same size. i havent had a chance to take the front wheels off since i bought this to see if there is a spacer already there or not. was just wondering if this was normal or not? btw its a 96 cherokee 4 door with a 5 spd

 

Normal. The front sheetmetal tapers in a fuzz.

 

Most any vehicle has a slightly wider front track than rear track.

 

All XJs have exact track. Front and rear axles are the same width at the rim edges.

Comes in handy for driveway alignments.
