Hey, Cape Coral! I'm in Ft myers..

Anywho, I would go to U-pull and grab a couple shafts.. yeah, they're used, but a solid shaft isnt going to wear out. then order yourself some 760x joints, grind the ears down so you can run the full-circle clips, and then never worry about it again.

If you're just using it as a daily driver I have 2 of the little dummy splines off of a 2WD XJ that take the place of the 2 front axle shafts.

Default CV joints

replaced my axle shafts with CV Joints from Advance auto, a year ago with no problems. I dont clime rocks just sandy beaches so I did not need the spicer u-joints. The CV's work great for me and drive much better than the U-joint shafts no pulsing in the steering wheel. I think they were about 60 bucks each.

haha. thanks but i actually have a set of those as well and was thinking about using them. i actually daily drive my motorcycle for the most part. i really only use my Jeep when i go pick my son up. the jeep has been broken for 2 weeks now but i usually borrow a car to get get my son. i went into work this morning at 6:30 and tore the whole thing down, pulled the Spartan locker out and reassembled everything by 8:30. she drives great. no more embarrassing popping and banging from my front diff when i pull into my sons daycare to pick him up either.

Every Napa store carries them, I believe they are the grease able super strength joints that are Napa brand.

I just measured my old shafts and matched up at the JY. Agreed, they are much quieter and smoother. I've beat on them a little bit in the recent week playing in the snow, and being "stuck" in 4-full at the moment, I've only been on dry pavement 1 day and they are much more forgiving.
