My 95 limited starting haemmoraging gear oil over the insides of both front wheels so I was forced to bite the bullet and get replacement oil seals.
Now, at this point I have to admit that part way through the replacement process I was hauled off by my company and had to leave the majority of the job to my old race mechanic.
He's quite an adept jack of all trades and I've never had recourse to be dissatisfied with any of his work so even though he'd had limited exposure to the quirks of working on a Jeep I left him to it.
However the UK passenger side (LH, the short tube) has started leaking again and I can't get in touch with my mechanic to ask him how he installed the seals. The RH seal seems to be holding up fine.
Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to replace this oil seal?
Any advice would be appreciated.
