I just replaced my ball joints on the passenger side. After I put the axle back on, but before I put the brakes on, I turned the axle by hand. It stops turning one way, but then if I turn it the other way it catches twice...making a scraping noise, and then continues to turn until it stops again. Is this normal? I don't know if it did it before I took the axle off, because I didn't try it then.
