friggin buzzing driving me crazy
high pitched constant low buzzing sound from rear of jeep. please help. i dont know where to start. it kinda sounds electrical...or maybe some really fast rattle? my ears hurt.
not speakers cause i can turn on radio with car off and no buzz. only when jeep is running. and no change at idle or speed. its just buzzing ALL the time. is there anyway to deal with this? sound proofing? i'm telling ya, i don't care that the jeep is clunky and noisy....but this buzz is LAME.

Check hatch panel, and if you have lift shackles they can rubber against the exhaust and make alot of noise.. Other than that check the body panels, mine make all kinds of noise

Does the buzzing pitch change when you give it some gas? I have that annoying sound but is because I installed a new stereo. I need to run through it again and make sure my ground is good.
I hear the same buzz, almost sounds like the alarm, albeit muted, that goes off when the Jeep is running and you open the door.
Wonder if it is the rear brake light on the hatch window

Sounds like my fuel pump did when I had rust in the tank. I replaced the tank and no more buzzing.

Check your fuel filter. Tilt the input (side facing the tank) down and if the gas coming out looks like rust colored milk instead of gasoline it's clogging the pump and you can guess the rest.
fuel pump? is there a way for me to know 4 sure. i guess ill check everything else AND THEN will do new tank. its so annoying, you have no idea. i can't imagine how my dog feels having to be back there al the time.
