not speakers cause i can turn on radio with car off and no buzz. only when jeep is running. and no change at idle or speed. its just buzzing ALL the time. is there anyway to deal with this? sound proofing? i'm telling ya, i don't care that the jeep is clunky and noisy....but this buzz is LAME.

could be fuel pump. its pretty loud right near the tank. kinda sounds like door open buzz, but not as loud and higher pitch.

Check hatch panel, and if you have lift shackles they can rubber against the exhaust and make alot of noise.. Other than that check the body panels, mine make all kinds of noise

Does the buzzing pitch change when you give it some gas? I have that annoying sound but is because I installed a new stereo. I need to run through it again and make sure my ground is good.

Default Voices in my head...

I hear the same buzz, almost sounds like the alarm, albeit muted, that goes off when the Jeep is running and you open the door.

Wonder if it is the rear brake light on the hatch window

Sounds to me like someone took a screwdriver to the buzzer instead of removing it

Sounds like my fuel pump did when I had rust in the tank. I replaced the tank and no more buzzing.

Check your fuel filter. Tilt the input (side facing the tank) down and if the gas coming out looks like rust colored milk instead of gasoline it's clogging the pump and you can guess the rest.

We cannot tell what causes that annoying sound unless we hear it on the spot... Its hard to concentrate on driving when you're hearing weird sounds like that...
