I have a 96 2 door, the previous owner cut the roof off, and then couldnt figure out what to do next so he put it up fo sale. I got it for $500, and it has been great. I know I need to put the frame strengthening kit in it, especially if I want to run doorless. I am guessing you just MIG these on? Or can you stick it? I built a 4 pt cage for it, it goes from behind the front seats to the back of the wheel wells. I will be adding 2 more legs to it soon from the main hoop forward to the front floor pan.

hoping everything is still "true", usually when you cut the roof, you have to brace the whole body but if it's all good, then yeah, start with the frame stiffeners, then you should do a full 12pt cage and tie it into the frame stiffeners. otherwise, it wouldn't be safe enough for road use, and wouldn't do squat to save your **** in a roll over.
and yeah, you can mig, tig or stick them on. but the "frame" rails are pretty thin, so concentrate the heat on the thicker metal and carefully run it into the thin frame rails.
but don't do a full pass, just plug them and stitch along the edge. and cool the welds as you go.

Everything appears true. It was my daily driver for almost 2 years when I was stationed in Key West. Now that I am 30 miles from work, I take the bike. It doesnt get much road time except for on base. I guess it is time to dig out the wire feed and start working. Thanks bo
