I have a 89 cherokee 4.0 auto and have had a clunk in the in front only when I hit a sharp bump or speed bump,I can,t recreate it on jack stands.I replaced the sway bar bushing and one of the clunks fixed but still one over on the right somewhere.I was wondering if the coils on the front would do that or the the 2 I beams arms would do that.What is the most common,I,m new with a jeep so don,t know there personalitys yet.

 

Tighten the bolts for your frame-side trackbar mount.
Check all bushings for wear and replace as needed.

 

Also check to see if you have a broken exhaust hanger
