Hey guys and girls, Its time for some new shocks on the XJ and i was thinking about getting a set of FOX Shox. Just wondering who is running them and how much ill be paying? And also anyones experiance with them good/bad? I have a 4 1/2 inch lift so will the shocks need to be for a 4-6 inch lift? Thanks

when i see them on xj's they are usually there coil overs, or their emulsion air shocks, which are really awesome, but expensive as hell

I work at an off road shop, and one of our sales guys tried standard hydraulic shock, entry level twin tube gas shocks, and fox shocks, both on a xj and a tj. Consensus is the entry level gas were the best, not too stiff. The fox shock were way too firm for both, not enough weight to easily compress them. That was for a dd.
