Default Found wire under bumper

I was messing around under my front bumper today and i found this wire, is it for fog lights or what?

Looks like it...... Verify you have the switch in the cab and you might just be prewired. Also remember stock fog light switch melt like it's cool and have to be rebuilt often..... At least on the 97+ models. The dealership sells the switched for 35 bucks new. Good luck.

I had a lone wire with a plug under my front bumper when I replaced it with an after market one. It took me awhile in the service book to find it on the wiring diagram. On my '98 it is for outside air temp sensor if I had a overhead console.

bingo that is exactly what it is for, now you just need to find an overhead console of the same year, and the interior wiring harness and bam you got all features. Mostly all xjs produce the information the overhead console is just a way to show it. I did it.
