my jeep had a little vibration going down the road.
started at 30 mph, and was done by 40-45 mph
when i would set the cruise at 55, i would hear or feel nothing, until i tapped the brakes and then it would vibrate down to about 30 again
well, i decided to have a look at the u joints in the drive shaft....
They were tight, not much play in them at all, so i decided to have a driveline guy look at it (maybe im missing something?)
Turns out the u joints are fine, but b/c my jeep has a 2-3 inch lift, it pulled the driveshaft further down the shaft coming out of the torque converter
it was on by only a 1/4 inch
needless to say they are making it longer...so im hoping that takes care of the vibration
He (the expert drive line guy) said that it would b/c its not on far enough
just a little heads up for everyone with 2-3 inch lifts...check to make sure your drive shaft is long enough (keep it clean guys and girls
)
But seriously...if you have a slight vibration and you have a lift..check it
