so i went to the jy the other day and pulled p/w switches from two different xj's,when i got home i pulled mine out to replace some and i noticed all of them(mine and the jy ones) were stamped with the ford logo...just wondering what the story is....btw just have to throw this in,i live about 20 minutes from "worlds largest u-pull-it"(thats what they proclaim)it's 10,000 vehicles on a couple hundred acres..and dirt cheap,sweeet

 

Up until the redesign of the XJ, they were still using the AMC parts. And that covered parts from all US auto manufactures. Si finding something with a Ford logo on it would not surprise me at all..

 

Earlier Cherokees had a big mixture of parts from FoMoCo and GM, so I am not the least surprised. Ignition module is also FoMoCo on many Jeeps. Steering column is Chevrolet on the pre-airbag Jeeps.
