Fog lights on the roof rack

I was wondering if anybody has done this i would like to put fog lights on my jeep but a light bar is way to expensive and i live in an apartment so i cant make one so i was wonderin if anyone used the factory roof rack for their lights? Also if they did it on a 99 where the rack doesnt go all to front just curious on how it will look and if it affects the lights at all

I have done this.
I opted to FLATTEN the oem crossbar so my lights sit level (straight)
If you remove the rubber center strip, you have a place to "hide" the wires. (See pic below)
The cross bar has a slot that goes all the way across.
This makes mounting the lights a snap as the NUT can be pressed in and will not spin when tightening the mounting bolt.
One important note: There is alot of play in the crossbar mount.
Its designed this way. If you have ever had to move one BY YOURSELF you will understand why.
This play tends to be unkind to lights (even 2 lightweights).
Two screws will need to be installed on each side where the crossbar inserts into the side mounts.
Yellow spots are where the screws need to go.

Here's what my lights look like (now)
