Ok guys I have stock foglights on my 96 XJ, the problem is the relay that turns the foglights off when the highbeams are on is screwed. How can I wire it without that relay(I dont mind if they work with the highbeams on(I usually wheel with my high beams on anyways) Thanks for the help guys.

Basic wiring would be something like this..
Switch with 3 wire posts...1 post to lights, 1 post to ground, 1 post to battery with a fuse in between them. This would create a basic on/off wiring setup. You can get more complex for more complex lighting setups..Now how you wiring them also depends on how the lights are wired from the light itself..I believe the jeeps factory lights come with 3 wires from the lights..

Please use a relay.
Fog lights can take a lot of current and you run the risk of a fire hazard in the switch from the load. You should have a relay in-line that will handle larger guage wire to the lights directly from the battery (fused of course). I have been using early 90s Dodge Caravan relays as they are cheap and the junkyard. Make sure you get the plug and a bit of exisitng wires to attach to. It's really simple.
