Hey guys i was wondering do you think the stock switch and wireing for the fog lights on a 00 Xj would handle 100w lights or do you think i should go stay around 55w? Thanks

I think in '00 they re-wired the fogs so the switch is operating another relay (and not directly controlling the lights), so it is not as prone to burning out (the switch) as previous years.

As for the wiring... well....

 

IMO I would upgrade the wiring and verify there is a relay on the switch if going to higher wattage bulbs like that. I'd guarantee there is a pretty good voltage drop across the existing wiring with just the 55w bulbs as is, so an upgrade, if going to higher wattage, won't hurt.

 

Ya i may have to search thro the wiring and c what i come up with. I would like to be able to leave to stock switch instead of having to put another one in to run them. It would be nice to just plug into to wires from the stock fog lights to.
