just a note if it is indeed tranny fluid from the cooler, it should be red which means your due for a tranny flush/filter change if it is anything but red

there is indeed a red tinge to it.
i have no clue what manards is. if thats a store.. note under my avatar where it says MIDDLE EAST. lol, thats not opposite the midwest.
torx set. yes, thats the spec set i was talking about. but i also mentioned i dont have all my tools, i'd have to go buy alot and am wondering if i should just take this into the shop. i mean normally this would be an easy thing.. but what if the line is/was xthreaded? then i cant put it back to prevent dumping the rest of the fluid and i may be stuck needing a tow or waiting parts eh?
OH and get this.. i asked people where they dump their used oil.. and they looked at me like i was insane!! 'nobody changes their own oil here' whaaaaaaaat.
but really, now thats its really spewing, can i drive on it just to get to a repair place? or does it need to be towed or fixed in the driveway?

Clean things up under the hood. With a leak that bad it should be very obvious where it's coming from. Also, whether it's transmission fluid or motor oil could be determined by checking the darn dipstick, with that big of a leak.

If it's Power Steering fluid, go ahead and drive it to the shop. Anything else, not so much unless you plan on stopping every few miles to add fluid.

so what are you loosing?? check the dipsticks on the tranny and oil and see which one is going down slowly. But my bet is tranny fluid leaking from the inlet(lower line) going into the radiator. The top line screws into the radiator and the bottom uses a push on retaining clip. I have never seen a retaining clip go out as they are used on fuel lines as well, but you never can tell. So check the bottom small line going into you radiator for the tranny coolant line. I bet you'll find your leak.

why post when you dont READ to see wtf is going on. wholly crap. some of you, i swear.
So as posted, yes its the bottom line of the auto tranny cooler @ radiator. I've never seen anything like it.
Cliffnotes: After i tightened the suspected line and went for a drive it became alot worse. Which means- I KNOW WHAT THE CULPRIT IS! but i guess, thanks to all anyway despite the reading curve, that attempted to help.
So i took the the thing to a local shop, again, since i have no real tools and there is no 'napa' or 'autozone' around..

and after wasting time undoing and putting ----tape on the top line, they went to the bottom line which i initially pointed out, and found that elbow cracked. Probably from overtightening it, but ill never know now if that was the initial problem or if it was x-threaded or something.
of course, they didn't have the proper part to replace it, so what they rigged up instead was a piece of hose clamped to a new 90 fitting, and down where it snakes to the front of the engine to another hard line, they hacked off a section of the line and just clamped the hose to it. ahhh well. a little hokey, but i think it'll do.
about 3.75 L of new ATF also and i guess that can count for my system flush?
the old stuff was so brown i was confused that it was motor oil at first.
