Default Flip Out Head unit pics??

i have a dual xdvd83 headunit in my truck and i am going to swap it into the 99 jeep tomorrow. does anyone have any pics of a flip out head unit in a 97+ jeep? i need to know if it can flip out all the way without the air vents holding it back..

THANKS!

if you are doing the flip out headunit in a 96 and prior jeep you need to relocate the AC controls to where the radio sits and the radio to where the ac controls sit.

the only problem is you now block your ac controls when the headunit is open.

or you could make a nice little cut in the dash or get the ugly head unit extenders

if it is in a 97+ cherokee there is no modifications needed. just instal it like a normal head unit

I think this was discussed before. Some had considered switching the AC/Heater and Stereo Dins lowering the head unit. I think others also suggested pulling the unit out a little further than the stock unit to clear that vents and dash frame.

I have a 2000 and I put a 7" fold out monitor in it. Works fine. Mine also has a fine adjustment to it also. Only thing I don't like is that it blocks the vents but I usually have the windows open anyway. This winter will be another story though.
