I already have my RC 3" lift w/ AAL just need to install it. I was wanting to know how my flex will i be allowed with stock upper and lower control arms? I want to know before i risk screwing up the mounts they bolt to.

not the greatest but its gotten me by so far but i will be upgrading soon

and thats without sway bars

 

in my opinion, when you get to 4.5' of lift. but once your doing that you might just want to consider long arms

A drop kit works wonders

 

I read on RC website that the drop kit is only for 4.5" lift minumum.

 

It's not so much the flex, it's the strength. The bigger the lift, the bigger the tires, the bigger the stuff you're most likely gonna be running over. The stock arms are quite puny stamped steel.

You can either box/weld in on the stock arms if you're on a budget, or just upgrade the arms to adjustable if you have the money.

 

i have tube control arms from rusrys and these things can take anything. they arent gonna break

This is the most I have flexed it. (just got it this week) Although it looks like less then it is.

 

The problem with stock LCA is they hit the spring and shock perch, thus limiting your flex
