Lightbulb fitting 33s to the 3" lift time...

hi all, am starting to get things sorted for the 33s, am going to go with 25ml spacers and a 33x10.5 tires... will be trimming guards soon and will post pics as i go... just waiting on some parts and what rubber to run...heres a few pics playing around with different tires today...wish me luck..

what do you guys think about spacers, have been told they can be hard on the bearings, any thoughts.......

i worked at les schwab for 3 years spacers are NO GOOD they are not only hard on bearings but everything else in the frontend as well get the proper backspaced wheel then there is no need for a spacer

I think u would b better off going with a 1 3/4" or 2" puck & shackel lift ontop of ur 3" rather than the spacers!
The lift will give u the cleance u need so u don't have to cut ur fenders too much! And the spacers r a bad idea,
cause the xj's r prone to ripping the steering box off the frame just with 33"s let alone 33"s & spacers!

If its width u want just go with a wheel that has a 3"-4" back spacing! The procomp series 98's (3 1/2" BS) are only $56 each!!!

thanks for that, have they got a site i can look at, I'm in a different country ....i don't want to be doing front bearings all the time as they are like $300.00 + each..and hard to get the rims as well, but sound like the rims are the go.........cheers

cheers for that, all this offset , spacers is doing my head in. don't want to go higher so will just have to sort it out..every mod i do has to have a cert to keep her road legal... but were there's a will there's a way....

thanks for that, keep them comeing , ideas like that i woundnt have thought of...... any thought on tires, am going to go with 33 x 10.5 ..do like the kumho kl71 mud, good reports on them over here , cheers

well with much soul searching and hitting brick walls over here about running 33s ,and keeping it legal, there's been a change in plans...for the money it was going to cost i have ordered some kumho 31s x10.5r15, and a winch + discoes..now the waiting for the parts to get here ..i hate that bit...
