Default first road trip kinda

Drove to the bay house in Sargent (about 65 miles one way) ran good till I got there and began to die at stop lights. Oh its a 1991. When It restarted it would have a high idle around 2 grand and slowly come down to normal. On the way back it appeared to burn more fuel than it did to get there. no power loss that I can tell and it does it when you give it gas after slowing down. did make it home so thats a good thing

I would also clean the throttle body and IAC before changing the CPS. Check for vacuum leaks too.

I agree with Dan, clean the throttle body and IAC. But, look for a broken vacuum line or a vacuum leak around the base of the throttle body
