Hi i had a chance to pick up a 1994 Cherokee sport with a 3 inch lift and i have never owned a vehicle with a lift before much less a jeep . after putting it up and looking at things i was first discouraged at what i saw .it was driven hard and put away wet literately it was only going into 2 wh high i notice the shift linkage for the T case was binding due to the drop trans cross member , I pulled the tires off and there are spacers 1/4 inch behind front. wheels and 1 1/2 to 2 behind rear wheels ...Why ? The lift is all springs
I was going to remove the lowering blocks from the trans cross member and have the rear drive shaft lengthen . How do i figure how much to increase length ?
Then take the blocks and put them under the front sway bar ,due to the fact that the links are broken I think from not being factored into the lift . How do I confirm that i have a 3 inch lift ?? Any how i got the jeep from some 19 yr old they blew out the T case running it dry i put one in and will be going thru it from front to rear and want to be able to do some wheeling . Any thing that all the members here can help me with will greatly be appreciated and i hope to be able to contribute to the forum some day...Thanks
