Default Finally found another 2dr 5sp. got a question before i buy.

so my first jeep ever was a 94 2dr 5sp. i screwed up and sold it many years ago. been on the lookout for another since then.

admittedly id rather have a pre 97 but i found a 99 w less than 150,000 miles and i think im gonna jump on it. drove it today. and it handled great. no wobbles shimmies or anything all the way up to 80mph.

only concern is that i remember my clutch disengaging around the middle of the pedal throw. this one seems to release right at the top.. maybe a CM after pressing down on it. caused lots of over revving while test driving.

i own a bmw e30 and its clutch grabs immediately after lifting off the floor, so maybe im just more aware of the jeeps high release.

is the throw adjustable? or am i stuck with a high release? is this indicative of something wearing out, going bad? he said it was a relatively new clutch.

thanks for the answers, advice.

It's hydraulic, so there is no adjustment. Every clutch feels different, just have to get used to it.

Not a racecar, more of a tractor to be honest with you.

Yea I remember it being higher. But could still keep my foot down. Oh we'll. it'll just take some gettin used to I'm sure.

It easier this way. Just been driving my "race car" a bit too much I guess. Haha.

Super excited tho. To have this as my daily. And my aw4 trail rig
