now, i'm fairly handy with wiring, and have done some electrical install on my 01 xj (offroad lights with a relay, code3 light, siren, etc...)
i've been wanting to install some amber fog lights for awhile now, and have been pondering the best/easiest/cleanest way to do this.
my jeep has the pigtails under the bumper for the factory foglights, has the pigtail in the dash to plug the factory switch into, however it does not have the terminals in the PDC to plug the relays into.
i went ahead and ordered a power outlet panel off of ebay which includes the factory foglight switch,(was cheaper that just buying the switch) as i would like to maintain a factory look as much as possible.
now my questions,
does the fog light pigtail that plugs into the switch have power??
i would like to use the factory switch to trigger a relay to run the lights.
which wire would i tap into to actuate the relay provided there is power at the switch?
after extensive searching, i have ruled out the simple plug and play option for factory foglights....
does anyone know of an aftermarket fog light, that will fit the factory location??
or, has anyone done something similar.
thanks!

I grabbed a set of the factory lights from the junkyard. I think it was 5$ a light. I also grabbed the stock switches. I dont know about the wiring, I just ran my without using any of the factory wireing
