Feltpro Rocker Cover Torque Spec
Hello Everyone,
I saw that the manual is stating 55 in-lbs for a rubber gasket. That seems high and the cork gasket rating is alot lower. I saw a post where someone said 55 in-lbs and you'll start to break your bolts? What torque setting works best for them?

55 in/pounds isn't that much. That's only like 4.5 ft/pounds which is a little more than snug. 55 ft/pounds would be breaking bolts. Just tighten up the bolts to where it feels right.
Thanks. I ran it thru an online calculator and tightened it to 11ft-lbs. It feels pretty snug there. We'll see if it leaks. I made sure to put he felpro tag on the right hand side so I can see the text on the tab that says this side cover.
Finished up the valve cover. I painted it satin black with some rustoleum high temp paint (up to 1200F) they also market it as grill paint. You can also see the new rocker gasket.

I like the Felpro rubber-metal gaskets, they worked great on my Dodge. Same with the paint, I used the same stuff for my Dodge valve covers and it really made it look a lot better under the hood.
