fake car alarm LED red light
when i bought mine it came with one and then one day when i went to open the door and start it it wouldnt start, the lights were blinking and everything... there was a switch under the hood latch so i turned it off. Guess it wasnt so fake afterall...
well im trying to find a diagram of how to wire it up to a relay...it shouldn't drain battery especially at nominal mA. i'll do some more research on how to hardwire it so its off when driving and on when ignition is off. or maybe i'll wire it to the glove compartment light wires...
anyone know?
i hate crackheads.
they never steal anything cause i DONT LEAVE **** in there. they just break the windows and find NOTHING. i would put up a sign explaining to them that there is nothing of any value in my old beat up xj, but they probably couldnt read it anyway.

Hook the positive wire to a constant 12 volt supply, Hook the negative wire to anything that is switched 12 volt When you turn off the key the LED will come on. No need for a relay that could run down your batt.

good idea but unless you have a screen or some nice stuff in your ride dont know why youd need it, not sure old jeeps are doing so well in the chop shops either lol but then again you are CALI jeep never been there they might take anything!
crackheads keep breaking my window for nothing. i need the light to try and deter them. i keep nothing in my jeep. they just are stupid. if i leave doors unlocked...it wil be used as an "office" for local prostitute "cupcake" to do her business. yes..i know i should move but i'm stuck for a while...
in the meantime. won't a 12v light blinking all night run my batter down? i have a 5vdc LED...should i install a resistor?

I have used them them over the years and have never had a problem. Your battery will die from sitting without a charge before 3 mill amps will kill it. 5 volt LED wont work long if at all! Check with 5-90, he has the skinny on electrical.
