Default Factory tire carrier

Does anyone know if a wider-than-stock 31" tire will fit on a factory rear tire carrier?

Not the spare tire mount inside. I'm talking about a factory swing-away tire carrier on the rear of the XJ. It wasn't offered on all year models.

x2 dont overload it. I was looking at a swing away that was sitting in a parts pile in my backyard and decided it wasnt enough for my 235/85/16 on a ranger rim. glad there was a much beefier one in the pile too, now to fab up some brackets off the reese hitch to make 'er work. will post pics in the fab section when its done
