Is there a lot of work involved in fabbing all of the needed brackets and such for a front axle? I found a dana 30 re-geared to 4.56 for a lot cheaper than I can get the gear setup for, I just dunno if its worth it to get this one and fab the brackets myself or spend the money for the parts and use mine. The guy selling it says its setup for leaf springs, so obviously im gonna have to remove whatever is already on it. My father is fairly skilled in welding, so that won't be much of an issue.
P.S. I can get the re geared D30 for $200, he also says it has "aftermarket stub shafts". Gears+new carrier for mine would be $250ish; is all the work worth saving 50 bucks?

Just found out it's cable actuated, was the 89 XJ D30 cable or vacuum? If it's vacuum how hard is it to set up the cable actuator?
