The idea of using those parts is to lift an XJ cheaply by using junkyard parts.
You can use F-150 front coil springs, but the ride is reportedly VERY STIFF.
Grand Cherokee ZJ coils from a V8 model are supposedly much better and give 1-2" lift.
With leaf springs, the idea is to disassemble your factory XJ leaf packs on the vehicle, disassemble a Durango or S-10 pack, cut the bushing eyes off the Durango / S-10 main leaf and use it as a second leaf below the existing main XJ leaf, intersperse XJ and Durango / S-10 leaves, and reassemble the packs. You can get a wide range of lift from this, depending on how you build your packs, and the condition of your stock and donor leaves.
Use the search feature on this site by searching "bastard pack" for more info
Also check for a build by OrangeAMC in the builds section.

To lift your XJ using a bastard pack and lift coils, you would probably need:
(For a lift 3" or lower)

A pair of S-10 or Durango leaf spring packs.
New U-Bolts, Center Pins and Leaf Spring Clamps for leaf packs
A pair of Grand Cherokee (ZJ) front coils springs from a V8-equipped ZJ. (AND/OR a pair of coil spring spacers).
Howler rear brake line extender ...(See Vendors section)... OR use YJ Wrangler brake lines.
You may need adjustable track bar...OR relocate mounting bracket.
Front Sway Bar Extensions.
Depending upon lift height and driveshaft angles, you may need a slip yoke eliminator or transfer case drop.
A wheel alignment when your lift is done.

As far as HOW-TO, there are some good writeups by Kyle...search the site for them..also Google "Bastard pack"

The F150 springs are a bad idea. I tried it and I couldn't get any flex and it was beyond stiff. Besides just a set of coil springs for a XJ are pretty cheep.

make sure get the springs from a zj with a v8 and they fit right on with no mods. i used them and a 2in space to get about a 3 and 1/2 inch lift

i have done the f-150 coils up front and i dont mind it but i prefer a stiffer ride but if you dont like a stiff ride then dont do it unless you do not mind a stiff ride at all, you prety much get no flex but you do get about 3 inches of lift if all your trying to get is looks not preformance

I am doing a similar lift except that i wanted close to 4 inches of lift. After doing days of research I came across a site that talked about using coils from an early 90's ford t-bird. I picked up a set from a 93 and plan on using them once I have everything i need - sye, leafs, custom build control arms, etc, etc...
Here are the sites that I found for the t-bird "junk yard lift":
