Ok guys still working on that np231 transfer case... so first off any idea how many bolts im looking at to pull it off the tranny? Second how the F do you get to those bolts on the top!! so everything is out of the way, tranny is supported with my floor jack. Ive read a few things saying just start to lower the jack till you can get on top to unbolt it. roughly if this is really the way how much can i lower the tranny to make room without putting strain on something else and breaking something?

 

Get a 3 foot long extension with a swivel socket...works every time!
