Default extending a driveshaft

hey guys, i just put about a 2 inch lift on my jeep. The driveline had a bad vibe so i dropped the transfercase down 1". that got rid of the vibes but i want to lift it 2" more but i know it'll cause that vibrations again. if i get the yj yoke will that fix it? and keep in mind that my transfercase drop member is bent up about 1/2" and im planning on make a new one or bening that one back.

my other thought was to add about 1" into my drive shaft and get it balanced, what do you guys think about this? and this is to get me by until i can get the whole exspensive sye deal.

the bad thing about the stock xj rear driveshaft is if you break it or blow a ujoint you cannot drive the xj with out all the fluid coming out of transfer case a sye kit fixes This problem you might want to look into this

ohh, you make a good point. is it a logical idea otherwise? I intend on saving up for the sye driveshaft. my job is just limiting me with money right now so i know it's gonna take me a while to save that much up.

but besides that, i figured out that what is left of my muffler would bump up against the drive shaft which ended up making the noise. Thanks alot though, this forum is a biiigggg help!

Or you could abandon the extra 2" lift idea and do the SYE first? I mean, if you are gonna do it anyway, just do it right the first time, save yourself the extra money, time, and labor?

But that is just me. I like to do things once, and not have to re-do all my work.

if you do the iron rock kit they give you the right size shaft, and yours supposed to measure from the diff to the transfer case yoke to see where your supposed to cut, im guessing that makes sure that you have the right distance for the ds, im gonna do their kit
