Default exhaust question

so im sick of resetting my cel every other day. i got a po420 code 02 below threshold we all know that. shiuld i just gut the cat and put in my 02 sim or will it hurt the performance. the cat is starting to clog (temps runing hot, ****ty performance once it warms up). or do i need to buy a hi flow. i like the sound of no cats on v8s but never herd a 4.0. i realise its not within the laws and all that bs.

If it is licensed and you drive it on the street you need to have a catalytic converter.

I have heard that the 4.0s sound like a diesel with no muffler.

I'm only running a cat at the moment on my 4.0 and alot of people have been confusing me with a diesel. I picked up my high flow magnaflow cat with the o2 bung for 100 bucks on ebay. I recommend running that second o2 or your performance and gas mileage is going to suffer.
