Default Error p1698 - check engine light on

Hey Guys,
I have another one for you. I already read all the related threads on the internet, yes, all of them. Out of nowhere, getting check engine light with code "P1689 - No Collision Detection Message from Transmission Control Module". I know this is a communication problem with PCM and TCM.
- I am having no issues otherwise, starts, drives, shifts and runs great
- Don't think it is a low voltage/charging issue. Tests at 12.46v when not running, 14.56 when running
- I refreshed all the grounds I could possibly find - all we already clean, but I still refreshed them. No frayed wires, no cuts or anything like that.
- No other symptoms

What do you guys think? Greatly appreciate any help - you guys are awesome and always seem to help me find a solution.

Thanks

Best I can say is check all the wires between the PCM and the TCM and makes sure none of them are broken. You also might try to get a scan tool and see if you can communicate with the TCM directly.

That’s what I was thinking. Thanks for the advice!
