Question Error Code 45 in a gas engine????

Can anyone explain how i can have a code 45 come up when i own a gas engine?

45 Turbo boost limit exceeded (engine was shut down by logic module)

I don't have a turbo, so it doesn't make sense. It's a 97' Country w/4.0...

I'm lost. Help.

Possibly a bad map sensor, On certain ecu's the MAP sensor will throw a boost code since that is what the sensor does.

It measures Manifold Absolute Pressure

I am not sure if it is the same problem on a jeep ecu but I have experienced similiar on other Map controlled cars.

Hope that helps you,
Matt

It has an electrical connector you need to unplug and a vacuum line, at least on my 91 may be different on the 97.

The one for the 97 is $93 at autozone near me but you could probably find a better price looking around a bit.
