Default Engine whines with new oil.

I don't know if this is really an issue at all but I just changed my oil the other day and instead of the recommended 10w-30 I used 5w-30 Mobil 1 because of my previous cold morning starts experience. Last winter my old car wouldn't want to start at all if the temperature was below 0, I could sit and crank it for 10-15 seconds before it finally caught, even then it still wasn't happy in the cold.

It said in my owners manual for my Jeep that for temperatures below 32 you can use 5w-30, which while I dont expect as much of a pain in the *** as my old Nissan with winter starts, I thought this would ease the problem of starting my Jeep on a morning thats 20 below. The problem is though it really whines like a turbine now that ive changed the oil and I was wondering whether this matters or if I should change back to regular weight oil, or if its not a big deal if there are any cheap additives that would fix this since im sick of listening to it.

What exactly do you mean by whine? Does it change with the RPMs? I've never heard of something like that happening after changing oil...

Are we talking about an automatic transmission whine by chance? and not the engine.
