This x1000, I have been power washing my motors for over 20 years and as long as precautions are made to not get water in places like the intake and not soak the alternator then you will be fine. Most dumb people on here drive their Jeep through puddles and rivers like they have never seen water before with no issue aside of the exhaust. If some people on here would give good advise it would be to wipe down or dry the motor with a towel where water sits before starting it back up. It's not rocket science like some seem to make it.

Get some of that self sticking plastic food wrap an wrap the alternator, TPS etc. I washed mine with only the alternator wrapped a few weeks ago and it cost me a TPS too. Sure is pretty and clean though!
